Where Does the Money Come From?

Blood for Missions essentially redirects funds that are used by blood banks to motivate donors and gives those funds to help people in need. Blood Banks typically spend $20 in the promotion and recruitment of 1 blood donor. The largest expense is for a full-time blood donor recruiter, who after salary, training, benefits and bonuses, costs approximately $15 per blood donor. Throw in an incentive for each blood donor, such as a t-shirt ($5-10), ice cream coupon ($2) or gas card (up to $15) and the cost approaches $20 quickly. Blood for Missions does not give t-shirts or other donor incentives, instead donating the $20 per blood donor to people in need.

Blood for Missions is an outsourced blood donor recruiter who partners with blood banks and hospitals. As the funds we use are already allocated by blood banks and hospitals to recruit donors, there is very little drain on the organization collecting blood for your area hospitals. Blood for Missions is proud to offer our unique nonprofit to schools, churches and businesses as a way to help them affect our world!
