Overview: We are Christians passionate about missions!  Blood for Missions offers a unique mission fundraising opportunity for churches and universities while also providing relief to hospitals in our own Southern California backyard. A 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization, we unite the motivation of people towards Christian missions or charities with the mission of blood donation. To do this, we partner with churches, universities and high schools who commit to hosting and promoting quality blood drives in the summer and around holidays. In exchange, our partner blood bank makes a donation of $20 per blood donor to the host’s chosen mission or charity. This concept combines two worthy purposes to compound the benefits: for the blood drive host, it supports their chosen Christian mission or charity financially with $0 out-of-pocket expense to the host, blood donor or benefiting mission; for our partner blood bank, it maximizes their efficiency to collect blood during times of critical need.

Responsibilities: An outstanding opportunity to gain valuable experience while creating for an innovative nonprofit.  Primary duties will include initiating and managing social media marketing for Blood for Missions on Facebook, Twitter, etc; raising awareness of nonprofit and events by contacting print and media; building and inputting network of blood donors and contacts.

Qualifications:  Intelligent student with strong initiative and creative spirit.  Willingness to commit to our nonprofit’s larger purpose of supporting Christian missions.  Responsible, able to complete assigned tasks.  Experience within social media outlets Facebook and Twitter is a must.
