<p>Please note that we cannot organize blood drives that benefit your church or school, only third party organizations. For example, you cannot host blood drives to fund your church youth group’s mission trip to work at an orphanage in Guatemala. However, we can and would love to organize blood drives that benefit the actual orphanage itself. If you have any questions regarding this, or extenuating circumstances that affect your church or school, please feel free to ask us!</p>

To do this, we partner with churches, universities and high schools who commit to hosting and promoting quality blood drives in the summer and around holidays. In exchange, our partner blood bank makes a donation of $20 per blood donor to the host’s chosen mission or charity. This concept combines two worthy purposes to compound the benefits: for the blood drive host, it supports their chosen Christian mission or charity financially with <strong><em>$0 out-of-pocket expense to the host, blood donor or benefiting mission</em></strong>; for our partner blood bank, it maximizes their efficiency to collect blood during times of critical need.</p>
<p><strong> </strong></p>
<p><strong>Responsibilities: </strong>An outstanding opportunity to gain valuable experience while creating for an innovative nonprofit.  Primary duties will include initiating and managing social media marketing for Blood for Missions on Facebook, Twitter, etc; raising awareness of nonprofit and events by contacting print and media; building and inputting network of blood donors and contacts.</p>
<p><strong>Qualifications</strong>:  Intelligent student with strong initiative and creative spirit.  Willingness to commit to our nonprofit’s larger purpose of supporting Christian missions.  Responsible, able to complete assigned tasks.  Experience within social media outlets Facebook and Twitter is a must.</p>

<p><strong>Qualifications</strong>:  Strong Christian student, passionate about missions and supporting the Lord’s work.  Entrepreneurial spirit who is a natural connector; willing to drive throughout Southern California and respectfully approach churches, universities and high schools on behalf of Blood for Missions.  Must have own transportation (gas expenses covered by nonprofit).  Experience working within churches or universities a plus.</p>

<p><strong>Qualifications</strong>:  Godly, articulate student passionate about supporting missions.  Excellent writing skills, efficient at communicating information in an engrossing style.  Exceptional verbal communicator, strong attention to detail; able to complete intricate applications and proposals within a designated time frame.  Prior grant writing experience a plus.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Rock Harbor church was the first church to partner with our innovative ministry, hosting 2 Blood for Missions blood drives.  Thanks to tremendous up-front announcements from the church and the support of the Mexico mission team, the events collected 205 pints, touching up to 615 patients in Southern California hospitals.  Rock Harbor also raised $4,100 for Baja Christian to build a home in Baja California.  Follow the links below to see pictures of the home being built.</p>

The events also raised $3,880 for <span style="text-decoration: underline;">Favor of God</span> ministries to help build a bible college in Uganda.  The drives were lead by church volunteers who creatively videoed a Sandals pastor giving blood and used the footage in their promotion.  The 2 events also saw Sandals church members make commitments to sponsor 5 children in Uganda!</p>
